Custom Knife by E. Lyons made using WW2 German SA Dagger Blade with Beautiful Stag Antler Handle
Here is a very impressive custom knife that has been created by a skilled knife maker, E. Lyons. He has used a WW2 German SA/SS dagger blade and a beautiful section of deer antler.
The whole handle has been made from a large section of deer antler that has been shaped and polished to make a very comfortable fit to your hand.
One side has a smooth flat section that keeps the knife blade aligned flat on any level service.
The oval pommel top looks to me to be have been made from a large Victorian Agate brooch. The beautifully patterned Agate stone is set and held in place by a silver coloured white metal pebbled frame.
The finger guard is made up from a genuine early type SA nickel silver crossguard that has a polished brass spacer and leather buffer washer where it fits to the handle.
The blade is clearly a genuine SA/SS dagger blade that has had the motto and maker mark ground and polished out.
The polished finish that has been achieved on the blade is just wonderful and it has been professionally etched with the makers name and the fact it is a unique, ‘one off’ dagger.
The etching reads as:

I can’t find any reference to a knife maker with the name E. Lyons, but given the true quality of this piece, he is a very skilled craftsman.
This heavy knife just fits the hand perfectly and makes a really impressive collectors piece with a WW2 German connection.
A knife that your “other half” may happily let you have out on display! ☺
The blade measures 8.75” (22.3cm) long and the whole knife is 15” (38.1cm) long.
It weighs a heavy 450g.
