Antique Victorian Finely Carved Ivory “Pea Pod” Needle Case circa 1880

Here on offer is an antique Victorian finely carved ivory “Pea Pod” needle case, circa 1880.

The needle case has been so accurately carved to look like a real Pea Pod, with the bumps of the peas in a pod and even a short stork.

The top section just pulls off allowing needles to be inserted or removed as required.

It is in excellent condition with no cracks or repairs and has a wonderful aged polished patina to its finish.

This is a fine needlework tool that would make a great addition to any antique collection, dating back to the reign of Queen Victoria.

It measures 3.75” (9.5cm) long and weighs 6.7g
