WW1 Period Trench Art Shoelace Hook Puller with a Beautiful Layered Section Handle

Here on offer is long WW1 period Trench Art shoelace hook/puller, with a stunning layered handle.

This came in an old tin, with a collection of WW1 items that included a large letter opener with the same style handle and some WW1 service medals.

The long shaft and hook are made from antique steel, which has some very light surface pitting. There is also a slight curve to the shaft near the handle.

The beautiful handle has been made from thin circular sections of aluminium, copper and brass along with black, red, yellow, green and red Bakelite. These are securely held in place by a finial shaped brass pommel.

It is in excellent condition with just some minor age pitting to some of the aluminium finish.

This really is an impressive piece of WW1 trench art.

It measures 11” (28cm) long, end to end and the steel shaft is 6.75” (17.2cm) long.

It weighs 60g.
