Ornate Vintage German Manicure Double Bladed Penknife by Anton Wingen Jr. Solingen
Here on offer is an ornate vintage German manicure double bladed penknife by Anton Wingen Jr. Solingen, circa 1930.
The knife has brass scales with acid engravings with an Arabic design, that was very fashionable back in the 1920/30’s.
It has two stainless/carbon steel blades, the larger has a 2.2” (5.4cm) single cutting edge and it’s stamped on one side of the ricasso with ROSTFREI and on the other side, the maker’s name:
ANTON WINGEN Jr.
SOLINGEN GERMANY
The smaller blade has a 1.3” (3.3cm) cutting edge and is stamped on the ricasso with the letter R.
Then there is the double sided manicure nail file with a pointed tip for cleaning your nails. It is also stamped with R on the ricasso.
The knife shows signs of being used with some scratch marks on the larger blade, but is undamaged and really in excellent condition.
This knife will make a wonderful addition to any penknife collection.
When closed, the knife measures 3.2” (8.2cm) and weighs 42g.
