Unusual WW1 Miniature Diary of The War Extracts from The TIMES Diary - Sept 1914 to May 1915
Here on offer is an unusual WW1 Miniature Diary of the War extracts from the TIMES diary, Sept 1914 to May 1915.
This small diary/booklet was possibly a giveaway item published in 1915, which also has printed on the front:
With the Compliments from
CROCKER SONS & Co. Ltd
FRIDAY STREET
E.C.
Someone has also written in pencil 1914 – 1918 on the front, but the Diary actually covers the days and War Headlines for the period 3rd September 1914 through to 31st May 1915.
This is a delightful little item that has managed to survive the last 105 years and I can’t find another example that still exists!
Clearly not many were published and most of these would have been thrown way or damaged over the last 105 years.
It measures 3.6” (9cm) high by 2.4” (6cm) wide and weighs 11.3g.
Just a great piece of WW1 memorabilia.
