Two Impressive WW1 Period Cast Iron Wall Plaques - Earl Kitchener & General Joffre

Here on offer are two impressive WW1 period, cast iron oval wall plaques: one of Earl Kitchener & another of General Joffre.

Their images are shown in profile with a grooved and crest patterned border.

Each plaque has been cast with fine detail on the images and they have been painted black.

On the back they have two raised lugs that a string has been tied between to enable them to be hung on a wall.

On the reverse of the Kitchener plaque it has the full makers name and location, being Rudman, Lancey & Craven Ltd, Engineers, Taunton. England.

On the Joffre plaque it just shows the maker’s initials: R.L.C and Made in England.

These plaques are in excellent condition and look really impressive displayed on a wall.

They each measure 7.6” (19.5cm) high by 5.6” (14.3cm) wide and weigh a heavy 740g each.
