Here on offer is a great example a WW2 British Army Folding Knife made by J. Rodgers & Sons, Sheffield.

The Utility Knife has four functions, which are a main blade, can opener, spike and flat screwdriver blade.

All the main components are made of steel, which shows some light overall age darkening and pitting.

The main steel blade shows signs of being sharpened and has the makers name and address stamped on one side of the ricasso:

J. Rodgers & Sons
6 Norfolk St
Sheffield
England

On the other side the ricasso is stamped with a Maltese cross and a 6-pointed star.

The steel can opener is in excellent condition and is stamped with the British Army broad arrow mark along with the date 1943, on the ricasso.

The steel spike is in full working condition and is unmarked.

The top of the handle has a useful flat steel screwdriver blade set in the centre.

The knife side slabs are made from black chequered Bakelite and are in excellent undamaged original condition.

It still retains its large steel belt clip/lanyard loop, for attaching to a belt.

The knife with all the functions closed measures 4.25” (10.8cm) including the loop and weighs 146g.

The blade measures 2.7” (6.9cm), the spike 2.8” (7.2cm) and the can opener 2.5” (6.4cm).
