Unique WW2 Trench Art Hand Made Wooden Model of a Doodlebug V1 Rocket with moving Rudder

Here on offer is a really unusual and unique piece of WW2 “Trench Art” being a hand made wooden model of a Doodlebug or V1 Rocket with a moving rudder section.

The V1 model is a great scale model of the real thing and is made from a soft wood that has been painted black, with silver lines indication the original metal sections.

The small rudder at the rear is actually movable on a wire frame.

The model has been mounted on a turned aluminium base with a brass rod support.

It is in excellent condition with most of its original paint remaining.
There is a slight natural crack in the wood grain on the top and bottom of the main fuselage, which doesn’t affect the model.

It makes a great desk display piece and may well have adorned a high-ranking Luftwaffe Officers desk during the war?

It measures 8.5” (21cm) long, 6” (15.3cm) wide and weighs 250g.
