Vintage Hand Made Wooden Wall Plaque for the British Military Intelligence Corps – Prince of Wales - Number 90 Half Company
Here on offer is one of three quality hand made vintage wooden wall plaques that I acquired, which I believe relate to the British Military Intelligence Corps.
This hand painted example has a raised shield with the Prince of Wales feathers, Fleur De Lis above two crossed rifles and the number ‘90’.
Below the shield are the words:
NUMBER 90 HALF COMPANY
I have no idea what unit this refers too, but as all the shields came together, I can only assume it relates to the Intelligence Corps? If anybody knows its origins, any information would be gratefully received.
The reverse has a hole to allow it to be hung from a
wall and the words:
Made in Great Britain
The plaque measures 6.9” (17.5cm) high and 5.9” (15cm) wide at the top.
It weighs 223g.
Please see my pictures for the details of the condition, which complement this description.
