Unusual Plaster Cast Wall Hanging Bust of a WW2 German Army ‘Heer’ Soldier

Here on offer is a rare, unusual and actually striking image of a plaster cast wall hanging bust of a WW2 German Army ‘Heer’ soldier.

The soldier is depicted wearing his steel helmet and German Army uniform along with his Iron Cross medal.

The bust has been painted with a dark brown gloss paint, which looks to be of the period and does show signs of edge chipping to the finish, as shown in my photos.

On the reverse there is an imbedded twisted wire loop, which enables it to be hung on a wall.

On the lower edge there appears to be a maker’s mark or logo, but I can’t make out who the maker is?

It measures 8” (20.2cm) high and 5” (12.7cm) wide.

It weighs a heavy 935g.
